I worked with Courtney Heyward while searching for my first home. Especially considering my relatively low price point, I asked a *lot* of Courtney -- six straight weeks of searching, 30 (!!) properties visited, and then a fairly fraught closing process (an unresponsive bank, appraisal came in low, bizarre insurance problems, etc. etc.). Through it all, Courtney never pushed back, always had time to talk, and was very kind about my anxiety about my first home. Her estimations on price were generally spot-on (I tracked the many properties we didn't offer or didn't win), and we ended up finding me a lovely place for a good deal despite a very seller-friendly market.She was also supremely helpful once we got into the final stages, which had to take place under a time crunch given my living situation. Her referred contractor, closing attorney, and insurance broker all delivered the same kind of excellent service; I truly felt that I had a "team" behind me, and now that I'm moved in I'm very grateful for her help getting through it. When it came time, we popped her a note and she sprang to action. Kelly Pittman of Heyward Realty was awesome to work with on the sale of my childhood home. My father was moving to a retirement community apartment after 58+ years in this house. The entire prep, sale, and move occurred under the COVID-19 restrictions adding complexity to this emotional time. We met with Kelly around Memorial Day with a planned move towards the end of July, and did not want the house on the market until the move was complete. Kelly guided us through all the steps including setting a reasonable, competitive asking price appropriate to the neighborhood, and the through house preparation all the way through closing. The house was put on "coming soon" notice the day after the move, 8 days later we went live, and the next day after 10-15 viewings, we had 3 offers all above asking price. Kelly guided us through taking best and final offers, settling on one, and then guided us through the negotiations as we headed to closing less than 30 days later. She was in regular contact with any and all updates (we never felt in the dark), and she even help pick up and deliver mail to my father at his new address, and then helped cancel utilities and other services at the house. Kelly made this emotional process easy for my father, and me (who lives in a neighboring state). It was clear to us that Kelly had excellent support at the Heywood as well. We high recommend Kelly and the Heywood, and would not hesitate to us her services again.
